Iddrisu Bukari

Mr. Iddrisu Bukari is currently an MGH student of NTU, formerly he was a Public Health Nutritionist, Community Epidemiologist and a Health Tutor with the Ghana Health Service and the Ministry of Health. He graduated from the College of Health, Kintmpo in 2012, with a Diploma in Community Nutrition and Health and joined the Ghana Health Service in the Gambaga District Health Directorate as a Deputy District Nutrition Officer in 2012 and was later posted to Mankranso Ahafo-Ano South District in the Ashanti Region in 2014 as a substantive District Nutrition Officer where he worked so hard and diligently to admiration of his Seniors and Colleagues, he became lead Focal Person for Nutrition in the Region. He obtained admission into the Catholic University of Ghana to pursue a bachelor degree in public health, after which he was promoted to the rank of public health nutritionist and later converted to a health tutor status and posted to the ministry of health training institutions. In September, 2017 he gained admission into UHAS Graduate School to Pursue a Master of Public Health Degree. He was the President of Graduate Students and Class Leader of the Post Graduate Class. He also a served as a member of the governing council of the university. He has practiced as Nutritionist in some parts of Ghana including Gushegu, Gambaga, Mankranso Ashanti and Keta districts of Ghana. He has taught in the ministry of health nursing training colleges for over three years.

Some of our core activities as tutors include; preparation of lecture notes, organizing lecture sessions, setting of examination questions, marking of scripts, counseling of students among others. Some of the courses taught are; public health in nursing, nutrition and dietetics, medical sociology, microbiology, family planning and entrepreneurship among others. He has also held several leadership positions among them include; General Secretary for Community Health Students and Ghana Muslim Students Association, Vice President National Service Students Association of Ghana, President of Campaign for Transparency and Accountability, Ghana and immediate past President of Graduate Students Association of Ghana. He is a student researcher, writer, Analyst, scientist, public speaker, and a human service activist
