If you are an IFP applicant who is excited about studying at the University of Reading in the UK and are happy to share your experience with a wider audience through social media and creating content like videos and photos for the IFP, then you should apply for the IFP Ambassador Scholarship. The scholarship will provide a £2500 discount of tuition fees for the IFP year and is open for all non-sponsored international fee paying students to apply.
The number of scholarships available is limited and so you will need to submit a scholarship application. This application will involve submitting a 3000 character essay explaining your suitability as an IFP Ambassador. Being an IFP Ambassador involves upholding the values of the programme through high academic engagement and may involve taking part in promotional activities telling prospective students about the experience of being on the IFP.
How To Apply
To apply for the IFP Ambassador Scholarship, students will need to have applied for a place on the IFP and accepted their offer.
If you already applied and have an offer for a place on the IFP, you can apply for the IFP Ambassador Scholarship through the Applicant portal.
The University of Reading celebrated the 90th anniversary of its Royal Charter in 2016. The focus of the celebrations took place on Thursday 17 March 2016, which marked 90 years since the Royal Charter was granted on the same date in 1926. Over the decades we have become innovators and pioneers, pushing academic boundaries and leading social change. Founded in the 19th century as an extension College of the University of Oxford, Reading was the only University to be awarded a charter between the two world wars. Upon the granting of the Charter, Dr W. M. Childs became the University’s first Vice-Chancellor and students carried him through the grounds in celebration.
The University of Reading is now recognised as one of the top 200 Universities in the world, and is home to 17,000 students from over 150 countries.
We offer a wide range of programmes from the pure and applied sciences to languages, humanities, social sciences, business and arts. New research and the latest thinking continually feed into our teaching, with our academic staff working at the forefront of their fields of expertise, and we remain one of the most popular higher education choices in the UK.
Our vision for 2026 is that the University of Reading will be a vibrant, thriving, sustainable, global and broad-based institution, responsive to, stimulated by and informing changes in the world around us. As a result, we will also be significantly larger in terms of students, global reach and presence, and revenue.
