Ingrid Jespersens Gymnasieskole is a self-governing institution with approximately 950 students divided between our primary and lower secondary school and our upper secondary school (Gymnasium). Our primary school consists of a two track class structure from pre-school class until 6th grade with approximately 330 students, and a lower secondary school programme from 7th until 9th grade with approximately 320 students.

IJG attaches great importance to a high level of subject knowledge as well as the creative field. Within the creative field, especially music plays a central role. Music lessons are mandatory from pre-school until 7th grade. A wide variety of musical activities are offered to both primary school students and secondary school students.

Our upper secondary school (Gymnasium) consists of 4 classes on each year and includes approximately 300 students. Extraordinarily, our Gymnasium offers 4 specialized programmes: Music, Theatre, Journalism and Science. Our Music School is an important part of Ingrid Jespersens Gymnasieskole.
