IST as a proud IB World School is dedicated to educate the whole child with our programmes aimed at developing students who become responsible global citizens. We want to broaden our students' minds as well as their opportunities.

IST is the oldest international school in Piedmont and has been welcoming international and local students since 1963. It is the only school in the area to be a full-continuum IB school as well as being accredited with both CIS and NEASC and having been granted Parità Scolastica (national equivalency) by the Italian Ministry of Education for its Primary program.

We are an international community that cherishes the learning opportunities offered by the local culture and environment and aims at offering all students, both international and local, a uniquely enriching growth experience.

Students' well-being, as well as their academic development, is at the heart of our educational project. Under the guidance of our highly qualified faculty, our students get ready to face the challenges of a dynamic and ever-changing world.

Our IST community is based on students, families and staff working together to support children in reaching their full potential as balanced, open-minded and principled individuals as well as life-long learners.

The International School of Turin offers a complete Academic Programme taught in English from Early Years to Grade 12 through the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP). Our community has a shared understanding of quality learning. Everyone in our community learns. We define learning as a process of making meaning through inquiry, thinking, experiences, feedback and reflection.

Students learn new ideas by referencing ideas they already know. Learning is personalized by providing appropriate challenge and choice, for different interests. Student creativity can be fostered. Emotional well-being influences educational performance, learning and development. Students will be more motivated and successful when they feel safe, supported and believe that they belong. Students with a growth mindset focus on learning goals, are more willing to take on challenges, and rebound more easily from feedback and failures.
