My B.Sc. journey at IU University of Applied Sciences is truly enriching. The university's emphasis on flexibility was a game-changer, accommodating students like me who often juggled jobs and freelancing with studies. The teachers were accessible through Microsoft Teams, always ready to assist with our queries. The friendly onboarding staff made the transition seamless. However, if I were to pinpoint an area for improvement, it would be the mathematical courses. While the university offers flexibility in many aspects, these courses could benefit from a bit more adaptability and perhaps a more engaging teaching style. Nevertheless, my overall experience at IU University is positive and rewarding.

I started IU despite having an MBA degree already, mainly because of the good ranking it has along with the affiliation with Universities like LSBU. So far the experience has been amazing. I am half the way through my degree and to be honest the content of the courses are extremely relevant and updated periodically. The best part is that the study model is totally flexible and convenient for professionals (like me) who only get time over the weekend. I would recommend any aspiring student who wants to earn a foreign degree while studying from any location of their convenience.

I have been trying to do Masters from last 10 years, but couldn't find a suitable university for distance learning, as all of them are very expensive. Then I saw IU is offering scholarships for online programs, i enrolled into it. After 10 months, I would like to say that the university is very good in terms of the quality of the courses, learning methods, flexibility to study and enrol in the exams. IU is an exquisite institution of learning. Their distant program is very exposing because the course books are well explained that you can learn on your own with little or no guidance from the tutor. They are true to their words, and the fact they give you a scholarship doesn't reduce the quality of their service. I am almost done with my bachelor at IU University and it has been a very challenging, but fulfilled experience. It is not easy to juggle work, friends and family and university at the same time. IU has been very supportive at that matter though and the long distance programs offer full flexibility. I decide when I study or take my exams or even if I want to participate at tutor sessions - recommended though to get some input from fellow students. IU is always working behind the scenes to keep Scripts and Modules up to date. There is always something improving, may it be the way the theory is approached in a script or may it be the supplies offered - podcasts, vodcasts, recorded tutor sessions etc. I also really appreciate the opportunities IU provides regarding international experience. Last year I was part of the first group to fly over to Oxford to enter the Oxford Certificate Program. It was a blast!

I’ve almost studied at IU for a year now and I am still aware of all the possibilities this has given me. First of all, I am German, but live in Spain. By studying online I made my dream of living abroad true while still receiving good education. The biggest pro, in my opinion, is being able to organize myself the way I want to do everything. I can decide when to study which topic and when I want to write exams. This way I don’t have to worry about write a number of exams in a short period of time. The thing is, that this only works if you are organized enough to be able to motivate yourself. Yes, you can get in contact with other students and the professors, but you mostly have to motivate yourself on your own. Besides this, I appreciate being able to get in contact with my professors and them actually replying in like a day. There is a big support net provided by IU to help with any study or stress problems. There is always someone to talk to and to get help.

I've learned a lot over the past 2 years and believe me distance learning is way more difficult than traditional ones. It was a good experience studying masters of engineering management at IU. I took all the program online. It was so flexible and authentic study. The university has a good reputation and it is accredited in Germany. I recommend to give time for the courses especially the thesis if you have a full time job. I took my program with my full time job and it was not easy to finish in 1 year so it took me 1 year 6 months.
