Welcome to the project of your life. UIC Barcelona is the ideal place for carrying it out. Since 1997, we have been developing people based on academic rigour, university life and enriching life experiences.

Christian humanism inspires us to search for truth and to fully develop each individual project. We provide the opportunity to study in one of the world's most vibrant cities, which is part of our identity.

We are a prestigious university and home to over 6,000 students. Here you will find 14 degree programmes, 8 dual degree international programmes and a wide range of master's and postgraduate degrees, in addition to continuing education courses in the field of your choice.

We place each student at the centre and turn them into the key players at UIC Barcelona. That is our commitment to them. To you. We respond by providing individual attention, small class sizes, a close relationship with the teaching body, support services and everything you need to maximise your skills.

Each university is different, and the way we do things is what sets us apart: personal attention, a comprehensive approach to each student, continuous links to the professional world and innovative teaching and research methods. We have signed agreements with over 50 companies and institutions, which trust in the centres, chairs and institutes at UIC Barcelona.

We are connected to society and to companies. Our teaching is practical in nature. It is imparted by teachers who are also active professionals and is complemented by a work placement programme that will help give you your first work experience. As a result, UIC Barcelona has the best graduate employment rate in the Catalan university system year after year.

In addition to knowledge, research and knowledge transfer, we invest time and effort in learning so that we might change the world. You will see this ambition in the people and activities at UIC Barcelona. It is part of our DNA.

We are committed to you and to academic excellence, We have created an environment designed to support teaching professionals and researchers. We promote a culture in which you are responsible for your education. Play an active, collaborative role with cutting-edge tools. Take part in activities and gain autonomy. We implement innovative and effective methods geared towards life in the real world (problem solving, cooperative learning, independent learning, self-assessment, project-based learning, etc.). We use ICT as part of our approach to teaching (online activities, computerised and multimedia support materials, etc.). We systematise our academic activities (tutorials —tutoring models—, classwork, work placement and ECTS model projects). We promote internationalisation: mobility opportunities for students and lecturers, and alliances with renowned universities and research centres. We implement ENQA (European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education) criteria and guidelines to ensure UIC Barcelona meets the quality standards set out for European higher education institutions.

At our university we are committed to good quality pioneering teaching at an individual level. We teach people to become skilled professionals with a multidisciplinary perspective, who are able to deal with work-related challenges in a global environment, and can contribute to a more just world based on greater solidarity.

As rector, my responsibility is to promote the quality of our teaching, research and transfer of knowledge, so these can be placed at the service of companies and society as a whole. At our university we adapt to your needs and aspirations and we would like to accompany you throughout your professional life.

Muy contento con la universidad y con la facultad de comunicación. Buenas instalaciones, buen profesorado, casi todos del sector audiovisual. Atentos y pendientes del alumno.

I did a master in Arts and Cultural Management at UIC. Has been year of hard work (classes every day and a lot of assignments), but an amazing experience! Diversified program, teaching many aspects of cultural management, from museums to audiovisual industries, plus many professional visits and guest lectures by field experts. Excellent professors who always go the extra mile to help in every possible way (studies, finding internships, jobs etc). The Director of the program is one of the kindest persons and attentive leaders I´ve ever met. Of course there are things to improve here and there, but those details are certainly addressed and always being worked on to make the program better for the next year´s students. I don´t know how other programs are at UIC but this master is definitely recommendable.
