Italian Lecturer - PSUAD

Job Summary

Teaching both in the LEA Department and in the option courses. Preparation of classes as well as correcting students’ works. Being available for the students who need support courses and/or help with their job application in Italian. Coordinating the classes with teachers in Paris. Contributing to the cultural life of the campus, attending department meetings. Regularly assessing student’ performance. Helping with the organization of languages courses for the students during the Summer in Italy.

Responsibilities

• Teaching translation classes (French-Italian) for LEA
• Working on texts about Italian civilization for LEA
• Teaching comprehension and grammar classes for LEA
• Teaching oral expression classes in the language lab
• Helping the students with CVs and job interviews
• Giving support classes for Italian
• Teaching Italian as a foreign language
• Preparation, correction and supervision of exams
• Represent PSUAD in any related events and promote with the Head of Department the academic department and its activities
• Invigilate examinations when required, to ensure that exams are carried out according to the rules set out by the exam board

Required Skills

• Master level preferably in Italian language, literature or civilization or Linguistics studies
• Native speaker
• Bilingual French
• Experience in teaching Italian at the high school or at the university level
