St John Fisher College, a vibrant and compassionate community that promotes the values of respect, care, integrity, service, excellence and inclusiveness. We are a Catholic secondary girls' College with a curriculum designed to prepare girls for a changing world. Our strong academic outcomes, with appreciation for vocational experiences, combine to give our students the best opportunity to success in further education and in life.

St John Fisher is a College of high expectations. Our goal is for all girls to realise their potential in a supportive and diverse learning environment, valuing the dignity and integrity of each individual. We have a strong pastoral care focus, a wide variety of co-curricular activities and we expect all students to become involved in College life. We encourage girls to step out of their comfort zones, be problem solvers and future focussed. We offer opportunities and experiences that will allow all girls to explore their own gifts and talents. Feeling connected, protected and respected are key factors in building resilience and this is a key part of the St John Fisher College culture.

Our beautiful grounds and small student population mean that each student is known individually. We are proud of our extensive and evolving curriculum and of our staff who consistently display a commitment to excellence. St John Fisher has a Sisters of Mercy foundation and we are proud to nurture the girls in this way of care for others, social justice and outreach.

The St John Fisher Community is inspired by God's spirit and the Catholic faith tradition to live, to love and to learn with respect for truth, the courage to seek justice, the gift of peace and the grace to forgive as we respond with equal dynamism to society’s challenges today and tomorrow.

The holistic approach to education at St John Fisher College means that your daughter's spiritual, social, emotional and physical growth are promoted as well as her academic learning. Because our Pastoral Care program is integrated throughout the school system, the Gospel values of love, justice, peace and forgiveness are taught by example and experience. Sharing the support of a Pastoral Care teacher with a small group of other students offers your daughter an intimate, nurturing atmosphere.

The formal teaching of Religious Education in our curriculum is underpinned by the daily lived experience of Gospel values in our community. The values of love, justice, peace and forgiveness are taught by example and experience. The college chapel provides a place for regular liturgies and for private prayer and reflection. Priests from the surrounding community support the college in the regular provision of Eucharist.

College Motto "Teach me Goodness, Knowledge, Discipline" This motto calls us to strive to choose good, to continue learning about ourselves, others, the world, our God, and to take responsibility for our own life choices and to have courage and strength in making those choices.

St John Fisher College offers an extensive and diverse co curricular program to provide additional learning opportunities to students who wish to develop special interests, skills, and talents to a higher level. In any given term, students can attend a wide array of sporting and cultural activities, both on and off campus. There are groups and activities for every interest, including art, technical theatre, dance, drama, social justice and more. In addition, there is a diverse range of music bands, ensembles, choral groups, and social and competitive sporting activities your daughter can participate in.

Alright school if you’re not wanting to spend much on private school fees. As a student I’ve seen that the school is extremely unorganised and can’t hire permanent staff to work next to the principal. Outdated and needs to upgrade their college website. become more technical, It’s like half a barn yard.

Met some of my best friends here. Small classes make it easy to learn with full access to professors for extra help when needed. Always something to do around here. I received my first job from an opportunity Fisher offered. Environment is safe and accessible. Dormitories are much nicer than any other campus I've seen. Overall fantastic place to be!

So thankful to be a part of the Fisher family ❤️Couldn't ask for a better four years! So many opportunities for community service, student leadership, and career/professional development. Not to mention the personal and supportive faculty/staff!

Best school in central NY!! The academic programs are great as well as the sports, the clubs, and the social life! To add to this, the professors really do care about you as students and as people! They push you to be the best you can be. Because of Fisher, I received a job right out of college and am still getting offers! Going to SJFC was the best decision I ever made!!

Where is the 6/5 star option? My college experience would not have been the same had I gone anywhere else. And I know this because I have something to compare it to. As a transfer student, I could not have made a better decision. The transition from school to school was seamless. I owe that to the college and the amazing people I met along the way. The friends I made are still some of my closest today. The education at Fisher is as great as it is because the faculty are truly invested in you as a student and an individual, both in and out of the classroom. **Shoutout to the Bio Faculty** I gained so much more than my diploma here.

I spent the last two years of my undergraduate career here at Fisher and I really wish I'd had all four. Amazing school, compassionate faculty and staff especially in the biology department, and I miss it every single day. I definitely believe the concept of Fisher family is undeniable to anyone that makes the decision to pursue their degree at this campus.

I couldn't of chosen a better fit! My overall experience was very well-rounded and I'm not sure if I would of recieved an experience as unique and individualized to me at another institution. It really is the Fisher Family! Go Cardinals!

The school is an average type college. It is good if you are looking for local, but if you want more from a college that is known a the national level. I say look for a bigger school that is well known as a whole.

The opportunities that I had received from Fisher were extremely beneficial to my learning and practice. The faculty and staff were supportive, knowledgeable, and continuously went above and beyond. Fisher Family is something I cherish and encounter in the Rochester community every day, even after graduation. If you're thinking about going to Fisher, do it!!
