My name is Dr. Kalsoom Sarwar, and I am a dedicated Chemistry educator and researcher with more than a decade of combined experience in teaching, mentoring, and academic research. Over the course of my career, I have taught at schools, colleges, and universities, guiding students from secondary levels all the way to undergraduate classes. What sets me apart as a tutor is my ability to simplify complex Chemistry concepts and connect them with real-life examples, so that learners not only understand the subject but also develop a genuine interest in it.

My educational background reflects my strong passion for Chemistry. I hold an M.Sc. and M.Phil. in Chemistry, along with a Ph.D. in Chemistry (Nanochemistry and Environmental Chemistry). Additionally, I completed an M.Ed. in Science Education, which allows me to combine pedagogical knowledge with scientific expertise. This unique blend of qualifications means I can teach students with clarity, structure, and innovative teaching methods, while also ensuring that I adapt lessons to the learner’s individual style.

In my professional journey, I have worked as a Chemistry Lecturer at Shiblee College for Women, where I taught a range of undergraduate chemistry courses including organic, physical, and analytical chemistry. I also have several years of experience teaching secondary-level Chemistry and General Science, during which I successfully prepared students for board examinations and international curricula such as IGCSE and A-Level. Beyond teaching, I served as an Academic Coordinator, which gave me hands-on experience in curriculum design, examination systems, and teacher training. This role further strengthened my ability to deliver well-organized lessons and support students in achieving top results.

Alongside my teaching career, I have established myself as a researcher. My Ph.D. work and related projects focus on nanomaterials, environmental remediation, and nanotoxicology. I have published several peer-reviewed articles in international journals, including those by Nature Publishing Group. My research experience adds depth to my teaching, as I bring in the latest scientific advancements and connect them with classroom learning. For students aiming for higher studies or research careers, I provide valuable guidance on how to read research papers, design experiments, and think critically about science.

As a tutor, my approach is student-centered and result-oriented. I first assess the learner’s level, strengths, and weaknesses. Then, I design lessons that meet their needs—whether it is preparing for a difficult exam, catching up on missed topics, or developing advanced problem-solving skills. I use visual aids, step-by-step explanations, practice problems, and interactive discussions to make lessons effective. I also emphasize exam strategies, time management, and confidence-building, which are equally important for success. My students appreciate that I am approachable, patient, and genuinely invested in their progress.

Over the years, I have helped students not only improve their grades but also develop a long-term interest in Chemistry. Many of them have gone on to pursue higher education in science and engineering fields, and I take pride in having contributed to their journeys. I believe that a good tutor is not just someone who transfers knowledge, but someone who inspires, motivates, and mentors learners at every step.

I am open to tutoring students in IGCSE Chemistry, A-Level Chemistry, Secondary Science, Undergraduate Chemistry courses, and even guiding advanced learners in research projects, dissertations, and lab report writing. Whether you are struggling with the basics of chemical bonding, preparing for a high-stakes exam, or working on advanced nanochemistry, I am here to provide structured, personalized support.

In summary, I bring together teaching expertise, research experience, and educational training to deliver high-quality tutoring in Chemistry. My goal is to make learning Chemistry enjoyable, meaningful, and empowering for every student I work with. With me as your tutor, you will gain not only subject knowledge but also the confidence and skills to excel academically and beyond.
