The uniquely shaped main gate is a granite structure, or rather, a sculpture, standing 10.7m high. The two rectangular towers face each other, each with the center portion hollowed out in the shape of the Chinese character; one symbolizes science, the other, technology.
The Duck Pond, located as you enter the campus, is where the ducks, which resemble KAIST, reside. You often see ducks walking freely on the grass after taking a swim, to either ponder or enjoy snacks given by visitors.
Next to the duck pond is tricolor bell tower, one of KAIST’s landmarks. The three pillars of the carillon, red, blue, and green, surge up into the sky. Carillon means sets of bells in French. The bell tower has 25 different bells with different pitches, and a computer program causing it to ring three times a day. In the future, KAIST will strive to become trusted even more, respected by South Korea and the world, and further its development, particularly in the field of research and education. Starting in South Korea, KAIST will cross the five oceans and spread its influence throughout all the continents, expanding its roots and absorbing/converging various academics and cultures to create a fruitful and innovative future.

Thank you once again for doing your part to keep Edarabia the most trusted education source.
This is a university that everyone knows. Cars can enter and exit without a barrier, and it is probably the only university in Daejeo where parking is free. There are Woori Bank and Saemaul Geumgo, as well as pizza places, Lotte Laa, Angel-in-us, and Tom & Toms.

On weekends, the general public can enter freely. The campus is large and has a lot of grass, so it's great for picnics. KAIST’s famous geese also appear frequently!

It is a university and graduate school where Korea's most talented students gather, and the campus is large and spacious. It is divided into east, west, and north based on the entrance road, and each building is numbered so that it is easy to find. There are various convenient facilities such as a post office and Lotteria, and the cherry blossoms and duck pond are also quite famous.

Went there for a summer school experience. It was fantastic tbh. The hostels are really clean. Nice people. The food is pretty great and CHEAP (About 3500won to 5000won) for canteen food. I usually eat at the canteen before leaving school.

I was a visiting professor at this university for eight years. This is the premiere science university of Korea. Most classes are taught I in English and there are many international students from over 70 countries in attendance. There is an active international organization to help overseas students. The school is very academic and offers a broad range of science subjects. The undergraduate student body is about 2000 in 2014 and the graduate student body is about 5000. I highly recommend this institute.

We were here on a study tour and realty enjoyed seeing the place. They had a number of rooms set up as trading rooms where students can do real time trading as a learning exercise.
