Kristiania University College was established in 1914, and offers study programmes in marketing, leadership, creativity, communication and health sciences.
Kristiania University College is located in Oslo, Bergen and Trondheim. The school is relatively small, both in size and number of students. The small classes emphasizes the school’s teaching philosophy which focuses on close interaction between the students, lecturers and the industry.

The foundation’s purpose is to preserve and develop for the best of society as a teaching and culture institution, and by doing so, also continue the idea of our founder Ernst G. Mortensen. Kristiania University College will educate the students for life after graduation. The college will have practice-oriented and research-based teaching, be known for high academic and pedagogical quality and become leading in the school’s disciplines.
The school will be productive and contribute to change and and development to the benefit of people, the environment and society. The distance between learning and earning will be short, and the college will educate candidates who function well in the industry/sector.
The school will, through our study programs where education and business contact are interrelated, bring students into contact with the practice field as early as possible, and prepare them for employment. The education we provide will be job relevant and reflect the development in the business. For Kristiania University College it is important to contribute with research-based knowledge and expertise. The research will contribute with new knowledge in teaching which can form the basis of innovation and value creation.
The school aims to educate within the disciplines that are among Norway’s most important value creators, both today and tomorrow. These areas provides society with skills, entrepreneurship and innovation by education workers for both the public and privat sector, particularly where we see major societal needs.
The primary goal is to reach a broad group of society, in accordance with the foundation’s philosophy that everyone should be given greater opportunities for education and personal growth.
Kristiania University College’s primary tasks are research and teaching, and we aim to deliver research results of high international caliber within our areas of expertise; marketing, management, communication, creativity and health.
Kristiania University College has campuses in Oslo, Bergen and online. In 2017, Kristiania University College merged with Westerdals Oslo ACT. Our new merged university college has a total of 10,000 students, 460 employees and an exciting education offer.
