Welcome to St. Anne’s-Belfield School!
With more than a century of success behind us, we are a nearly 900 student, independent day and boarding school located just down the street from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. Our community includes students and families from 14 countries, and a global network of more than 3,800 alumni.

Our School community places primary emphasis on knowing and encouraging each student as an individual. Our curriculum encourages curiosity and diversity at all levels, and challenges each student from our Pre-School programs through Grade 12 to question, explore, invent, and create. As a School we model this process in our own curriculum, through signature programs and innovative offerings that set us apart from more typical preparatory studies.

Once you have inquired or started an application, login to the Applicant Portal using your username and password to continue. The process and required materials for applications are listed below.

Application/Family Information
Once you complete the demographic information online, you will receive an email containing a unique username and password which will allow you to access the Applicant Portal to complete the rest of the application..
Transcript/School Records
We require a copy of your child’s current transcript/school records. Please use the Transcript Release Form to authorize the sharing of theses records.
Teacher & Administrator Recommendation Forms
We require recommendation forms to be completed. These forms can be accessed and emailed directly to teachers and administrators from our Applicant Portal.
Application Fee
There is no fee for day applicants. The application fee for domestic boarding students is $75, and international boarding students is $150. If the application creates any financial hardship, contact us at admission@stab.org about a waiver.
International Students
International students applying for our Residential Life program should visit our International Students webpage for additional information regarding the admission process.
