Educational research tells us that students attending all-girls’ schools like Trafalgar Castle are challenged more, experience higher levels of support and feel safer than girls at co-ed or public schools. If you’re thinking of joining the Trafalgar community, consider these advantages as a start. And then come experience everything else we offer. We believe an exceptional education is the best gift a girl will ever receive. Trafalgar Castle offers a close-knit, academically challenging environment where girls feel a strong sense of belonging and discover their unique talents and interests.

Our dedicated Admissions team is eager to meet you and share the many opportunities available to students at Trafalgar Castle School. We recognize that finding the right school can be overwhelming and we are here to help families every step of the way, from initial inquiry through to enrolment.

Student Enrolment Procedure (Day School)

Trafalgar Castle School has a rolling application process; however, spaces fill very early. The first step in the enrolment process for day students begins with a full-day visit, which provides prospective students the opportunity to experience life as a Trafalgar girl.

Following the day visit, students are to complete an online application package with the following:

  • Completed online application form;
  • Final report cards for the past two years;
  • A confidential teacher recommendation;and Application fee.

The student’s application package is then assessed, and eligible candidates are invited in for an interview and an assessment. At this point, if the student is a successful candidate, an official letter of acceptance will be offered.

Trafalgar Castle School has been educating girls and young women for more than 140 years. Our day program attracts students from across Durham Region and the Greater Toronto Area, making up approximately two-thirds of our student population. The other third of our students are boarders who come to us from across Canada and countries around the world. Our day students benefit from Trafalgar Castle’s global perspective and make lifelong friendships with students from near and far.

We are excited to have expanded our day program and welcomed even more girls to the Trafalgar community with the addition of Grade 4. Our Grade 4 class continues to benefit from the same whole-school activities and warm community that make Trafalgar such a special place.
