Established in 1892, Labouré College is a private, non-profit 501 c(3) with a Catholic-guided mission to offer high-quality nursing and healthcare education to a diverse group of students. The majority of our students are adults, returning to school to begin a career they are passionate about. Many are juggling courses with work and family commitments. The dedication and perseverance our students exhibit in their studies, mirrors the commitment that they bring to their future healthcare careers. Our dedicated faculty, small class sizes, and innovative curriculum provide students from all backgrounds the opportunity to learn and grow in the healthcare industry.

Labouré’s campus in Milton has been specially designed to enhance the lives of working students. The One-Stop Student Services Center houses financial aid, advising, student accounts, the registrar, and transcript request all in one convenient place. The Center for Student Success and Teaching Excellence provides students with academic advising, academic coaching, tutoring, and basic skill strengthening. The Center also offers specialized assistance to students with learning differences and support in finding a career. Join a 125-year tradition of excellence in healthcare education and believe you will change the lives you touch.

The mission of Labouré College is to provide high quality education and to prepare women and men for careers in nursing and allied health fields. Inherent in the Catholic identity of the College and our educational mission is a commitment to Judeo-Christian principles which influence the academic curricula and the college environment. Consistent with these principles, the College seeks to give opportunities to a diverse population of students to continue their education as mature adults and responsible world citizens.

We aspire to be a model of excellence, recognized for innovative and collaborative approaches to education for practice in the health sector. We are committed to preparing practitioners who reflect on and care for a diverse patient population, and to fostering interdisciplinary approaches to address complex issues within healthcare and society.

The College is committed to graduating an educated person. The educated graduate of Labouré College is one who has the basis for lifelong learning and civic engagement and one who is prepared to deliver patient-centered care as a member of an interdisciplinary team.

To this end, the general education courses promote learning in broad areas of human knowledge leading to an understanding of historical, social, mathematics and scientific phenomena as well as ethical perspectives. The professionally oriented courses promote learning that emphasizes evidence-based practice, including the latest research and clinical expertise of practitioners, quality improvement approaches, and the use of information technology.

Liberal education concepts and theories found in general education courses, along with professionally oriented courses in a student's major, support and facilitate the development of skills students need to competently function in life and work. These skills include information literacy, critical thinking, oral and written communication, and interpersonal/team building.
