A country in Western Asia, Lebanon is at the crossroads of the Mediterranean and Arabian cultures. Known as the Switzerland of the East due to its booming financial sector back in the day, Lebanon’s capital, Beirut, is also sometimes dubbed as the Paris of the Middle East, which attracts tourists from all over the world.
Lebanon is home to some of the world's best universities. The Ministry of Culture and Higher Education is tasked in regulating higher education in Lebanon. There are a total of 41 private universities in Lebanon, with English as the primary medium of instruction. Some universities conduct lessons in French.
