The future is built on passion. As educators, we are responsible for nurturing that passion, and to equip children with the tools they will need to carve out their future—with their talents, their drive, their imagination.

We are committed to the pursuit of excellence and being leaders in educational services through regular professional development for educators and staff, to ensure that we are at the forefront of educational practices. In partnership with families and the community, it is our intent that your children discover their innate creativity and recognise their individual talents and potential.

Our mission is to provide an inspired programme that motivates thinkers and encourages creativity, providing each child with a voice and the best possible start to their future. It is our aim to nurture confident and resilient learners in an environment where parents and educators are partners in their children’s learning through a holistic programme with an emphasis in the inquiry approach and the arts.

Centred on the premise that children learn best through play, hands-on experiences, and authentic learning activities, the LeClare curriculum is supported by educators with diverse skill sets and environments that are purposefully designed.

We craft appropriately stimulating curricula, balanced with flexibility to allow a sensitivity to individual needs and interests. A cornerstone to all activities is building each child’s intrinsic moral compass through identifying and examining values and learning dispositions.

At LeClare Preschool, we have adopted an Integrated-Inquiry approach to learning, where children are encouraged to ask questions and voice their opinions. The curriculum will have children investigating a unit of inquiry each term in both English and Mandarin.

Within pre-selected themes, a central question is developed to act as a provocation for a collection of pre-planned and spontaneous activities and experiences. The integrated approach allows educators to combine different subject components (language and literacy, numeracy, motor skills, social and emotional development and cognitive/ daily life skills) into one activity. This allows children to have a more holistic and deeper understanding of various subject matter that is transferrable.

While educators plan with experiences and outcomes in mind, the essence of the inquiry approach is that it is responsive, flexible and open-minded, and moves with the children’s ideas and questions as they arise. Children’s knowledge, experience, thinking and learning are made visible to foster a culture of reflective and critical learners.

At LeClare, we also value and recognise the importance of a strong foundation in Chinese. We hope to ignite the passion and appreciation for the Chinese language by bringing tradition, the arts and games into the classrooms. Children will learn to read and write in Chinese characters, transcribe in the phonetic system, Chinese art and calligraphy, music and rhymes, poetry and traditional games.

I would love my child to attend his preschool here. The ideal environment to nurture curious children and bring out the best in them. Music and arts boost creativity and enhace focus. The classrooms and activity areas are designed with love, this makes it the best (second) home!

Definitely a safe haven for kids where they can learn while enjoying the process of growing up. It's a must-go place for your kids. Also, for awhile, I've yet come across such a state of the art preschool.
