At Léman International School Chengdu, we’re proud to be the largest international school in Chengdu with small class sizes that enable our highly qualified teachers give continual, tailored support. As a result, our ambitious students go on to surpass world averages in their academic outcomes – placing our school in the top 1.8% of all global IBDP international schools, for example.

Following our Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum, we create learning experiences that provide emergent, playful situations – where our young learners make sense of the things and people around them, investigate the world, and form relationships through their interactions.

Our Early Years programme spans Pre-Nursery classes (for two-year-olds) to Reception (for four-year-olds). The programme is colourful, active, and fun – responsive to the unique nature of each child. We emphasise the importance of developing the skills and attitudes they need in the Early Years and continued throughout their lifetime of learning.

We recognise that all children need opportunities to explore, experience, and enquire at their own level, and this is dependent upon their stage of development. As a result, our programme looks at our young learners’ individual physical, cognitive, and social development, and we use Personal Learning Plans (PLPs) to document and set goals that meet their unique needs.

Finally, our Early Years activities help our students work towards the subject, personal, and international goals of their future International Primary Curriculum (IPC), which they will explore once they enter Primary School.

Thanks to our considerable ongoing investments, each area of our campus has been carefully designed to maximise our students’ learning experiences with safe, age-appropriate spaces – all guided by our high qualified, talented teachers.

We have dedicated state-of-the-art spaces for indoor and outdoor sports as well as speciality spaces for the arts and STEAM activities, enabling us to offer extensive extracurricular activities in these areas.

Located in the rapidly developing Tianfu area in the southern part of Chengdu, our expansive 50-acre campus inspires and motivates our learning community every day.
