Day Student Tuition

We understand that choosing an independent school is a major financial decision for many families, and we are committed to keeping tuition as affordable as possible.

Tuition covers approximately 75 percent of the true cost of educating a student at ‘Iolani School with the balance coming from our endowment, fundraising and gifts.

Day Student Tuition and fees for the current school year:

The cost of books and/or eBooks is included in the tuition for kindergarten – grade 6.

Payment plans for Current Year

We offer three tuition payment plans:

• Annual plan: A single payment, minus the $500 tuition deposit, is due by July 31.
• Semester plan: The first payment, minus the $500 tuition deposit is due by July 31. The second payment is due by Jan. 6. A service charge is added if you select this plan.
• Monthly plan: The first payment, minus the $500 tuition deposit is due by July 29. Nine additional payments are due by the last business day of each month through April 30. A service charge is added if you select this plan, and you are required to purchase tuition insurance.

Tuition insurance

We offer the Tuition Refund Plan (TRP) to all families. The TRP provides insurance coverage in case a student must withdraw from 'Iolani during the school year. The cost of the Plan is approximately $317 and is payable with the July tuition payment.

TRP coverage is optional for families selecting the annual and semester payment plan. It is required for those selecting the monthly plan.
