St. John’s-Ravenscourt School is proud to offer an extensive needs based financial assistance program. The application process is separate from the admissions process and all students who are offered admission to Grades 6 through 12 at the School are eligible to apply.
For students applying to Grades 6 through 12, financial aid can provide up to 50% of the cost of tuition Families are required to submit an application through Apple Financial, an independent assessment service.
Fill out an application through Apple Financial Services to apply.
Students entering the School in Grades 9 – 12 only for the first time may be eligible to receive an additional tuition reduction annually until graduation through the Red River Scholars Fund. This is a very limited fund intended to attract the most well rounded students to the School, regardless of their ability to pay.
(Boarding Students are not eligible.)
SJR is looking for students who have demonstrated a commitment to achieving their goals whether they are academic, athletic, artistic or other forms of goals and wish to continue their studies at the university level; students who are looking for a challenge, and are willing to put in the time and effort it takes to reach their goals.
The Red River Scholars Fund is not a scholarship and therefore it is not directly tied to a student’s academic performance. Rather, it is based on the financial needs of the family to assist with paying for tuition.
SJR offers a substantial number of scholarships annually. All of these awards are made to worthy students on the basis of demonstrated potential and achievements in the School’s four mission pillars: academic achievement, creative expression, active healthy living, and social responsibility.
The School offers scholarships in the following categories:
Entrance Scholarships
Internal Scholarships
Boarding Scholarships
University Scholarships
The School uses a financial aid consultant, Apple Financial Services, to conduct the initial application process. All information provided throughout the process is kept in the strictest confidence.
The application for financial aid should be completed as soon as the application to the School has been submitted. The two applications will be reviewed by separate teams - the admission process or decision is not impacted by the fact that a financial aid review is also underway.
Apple Financial Services staff will analyze the application and provide a recommendation directly to the School.
The School will make the final decision on the amount of financial aid granted to the family and contact applicants, in writing, regarding the amount of funds awarded.
