Nursery

The Nursery year runs from September to August. Nursery is closed from 24th December to 1st January inclusive, as well as bank holidays throughout the year and for 5 additional days each year to enable staff training, these days will be confirmed prior to the start of each year. We accept pupils for either school term time only or for the whole year. Term time only pupils may book additional ad-hoc nursery sessions during the school holidays, subject to places being available.

Registration Fee

A Registration Fee (non-refundable) is payable to reserve a place for the pupil at the school, subject to availability of a place and to meeting the entry requirements.

Nursery Fees

We require a minimum attendance of 4 sessions per week to join the nursery. A maximum of 2 morning only sessions per week can be requested, subject to availability. Fees include all activities, food, drinks, nappies and wipes. Fees are reviewed annually and there will be reasonable increases from time to time. No charge will be made for Bank Holidays and published nursery closures. No refund will be given in the event of the child’s absence due to sickness, holiday or any other reason.

Free Childcare Entitlement
We accept up to 15 hours’ free childcare entitlement per week for up to 38 weeks of the year. For those registered for term time only we offer 15 hours per week for the total weeks attended, for those registered for year round will receive their free hours pro-rated over the three funding periods (1 Sept – 31 Dec, 1 Jan – 31 Mar, 1 Apr – 31 Aug). 15 hours can be taken across any 2 days, subject to availability. Requested additional hours will be billed termly in advance.

Payment of Fees
Fees can be paid either termly in advance or by monthly Direct Debit (subject to T&Cs). We require full payment of the Registration Fee, Deposit and first term fees (or month of fees and completed DD mandate) prior to starting in Nursery, other than for taster sessions. Additional sessions will be billed termly in arrears and will be required to be paid in full prior to the first day of the following term. Late payment charges will be levied on all outstanding accounts not fully paid when due

Prep Fee

A Registration Fee (non-refundable) is payable to reserve a place for the pupil at the school, subject to availability of a place and to meeting the entry requirements.

Deposit
Once a place has been offered, a deposit of £500 is required to confirm that the pupil will be joining Westonbirt Prep. All deposits are returnable once a pupil completes their studies at the school and all outstanding financial obligations have been discharged.

Fees are payable in three equal amounts, termly in advance, on or before the first day of each term. School fees cover the normal curriculum together with most books and stationery. The following, where applicable, may be charged to a pupil’s account as an Extra: extra subjects; after-school activities; school transport; examinations; excursions; medical treatment. The Board review fees annually and there will be reasonable increases from time to time. Late payment charges will be levied on all outstanding accounts not fully paid by the first day of term.

Fee Remissions for Westonbirt Prep

Sibling
When one or more siblings attend Westonbirt Schools simultaneously, a reduction in fees of 5% is made for the second and subsequent siblings after any reduction for Scholarship, Bursary or other provision.

Forces
Children of serving members of HM Forces are eligible for a reduction in fees of up to 10%, subject to parents’ circumstances. Both Sibling and Forces Discounts are not applicable to children attending Westonbirt Nursery.

Advance Payment of Fees
The School will accept the payment of a lump sum to cover fees for a year or more. Please contact the Finance Department ([email protected]), for more information.

Voluntary Extras
Notice to discontinue an extra subject must be given in writing, to the Head, by half term in the previous term, otherwise half a term’s fees for the extra subject will be payable in lieu of notice. For music lessons to discontinue, a term’s notice is required.

Transport
Single and return journeys are available on bus routes. These are zonally priced based on distance from the School.

Senior Fees

Registration Fee A Registration Fee is payable (non-refundable) to reserve a place for the student at the school, subject to meeting the entry requirements.

• International :£200

Deposit
A deposit is required before joining the school to accept the offer of a place. This is £750 for a day pupil and £1,500 for a boarder based in the UK. A deposit of £7,500 will be taken for all International pupils with £5,000 of this credited against their final term’s fees. For short stay international boarders of one or two terms only the deposit required is £2,500. All deposits are returnable once a pupil completes their studies at the school and all outstanding financial obligations have been discharged. If parents wish to donate their deposit to the Wishford Foundation for future bursary funds this would be most welcomed by the school.

The following, where applicable, may be charged to a pupil’s account as an Extra: school transport; public examination entry fees; theatre tickets, activities and excursions; GCSE, and A Level set texts and special medical or dental treatment and other ad hoc extras. Fees are reviewed annually and there will be reasonable increases from time to time. Late payment charges will be levied on all outstanding accounts not fully paid by the first day of term.

Prep Transfer
When joining Westonbirt Senior from any Wishford Group Prep the first child in each family will receive a reduction in fees of 5% throughout their Westonbirt Senior career. To qualify the child must have attended a Wishford Prep School for a minimum of 3 years and be continuing straight through with no break.

Forces Day
Pupils of serving members of HM Forces are eligible for a reduction in fees of up to 10%, subject to parents’ circumstances. Full Boarding Pupils of serving members of HM Forces at Westonbirt pay 10% of the full fees so long as they are in receipt of the Continuity of Education Allowance (CEA).

For music lessons and transport to discontinue, a full term’s notice is required, for all other tuition a half terms is required. When selecting a place on the Leiths cookery course this is a full commitment to pay for 5 terms fees, notice to discontinue will not result in a reduction to fees.
