The University Loyola Andalucía is a social initiative of The Society of Jesus that is integrated into the Andalusian university system as the first private university of social initiative in the autonomous region.A depository of the best Jesuit educative tradition of the values that have always distinguished it, the University Loyola Andalucía is a firm bet for the future, in these moments of constant change and uncertainty. Its desire is to respond to the demand of all those people who believe in education as a guarantee for the future.

Our academic offer is geared to the need for formation in the areas of the social sciences and technology. Our vocation for research seeks recognition as a university of scientific production that has a high social impact and that proposes real solutions for problems that affect our world. Formation, Research and Service are the pillars on which Loyola is built.

Our Jesuit identity integrates us within a net of over 230 university centers all over the world with an unequivocal trajectory and prestige, from the United States to India and from Latin America to Japan, and attests to our social character, with which we want to form men and women committed to others. The University Loyola Andalucía is a university for all, where everyone who identifies themselves with constant effort and pursuing professional and human excellence has a place.

The identity of the University Loyola Andalucía, shared with the other centers of The Society of Jesus, is marked by its commitment to academic work from the conception of life and society marked by the evangelical values of freedom and respect, justice and solidarity, the search for truth, dialogue and tolerance, responsibility and participation.

The mission of Loyola University Andalusia according to the strategic plan approved by the highest governing body is to create thinking for the best and greatest service of humanity, to educate men and women for others, not the best in the world, but the best at solving the world's problems and make their entire pursuit a place of dialogue and fruitful meaning in which people from different cultures, beliefs and ideologies can live an inspired and committed life with others and with creation.

To carry out this mission, the University Loyola Andalucía operates with the same pedagogical model as other universities and university centers of The Society of Jesus in Spain, integrated within the UNIJES, with four key dimensions for the well-rounded formation of individuals:

  • Utilitas. Competent people to confront the technical, social and human problems that all professionals encounter.
  • Humanitas. Human people in all senses of the word, aware of themselves and of the world that they live in and sensitive to the aspirations and concerns of their contemporaries.
  • Iustitia. People committed to building a fairer and more compassionate world and able to feel the pleasure and pain of others as their own.
  • Fides. People able to explicitly open up to the quest for the sense of their existence and the question of God, sensitive to the Gospel and Christianity and their values and their proposals.

The professors here are not just educators; they are mentors who inspire, and I have witnessed my child's confidence and skills grow tremendously in this incredible academic environment.
