Misr Language School

Misr Language Schools was inaugurated in 1985. Misr Language School’s mission is based on high moral values and sound work ethics which are reflected on the personal, school and community levels. The Mission of the school is to: Give students a high standard college-preparatory education, and empower them with the ownership of knowledge and competitive skills. Develop skilled and committed teachers, and enhance the facilities and services of the school in order to provide students with a productive and encouraging learning environment. Instill in students a sense of civic duty, and to become as a school active members of the community and proactive contributers to society.

Misr Language Schools American Division aspires to be a vibrant learning community where all members are united for the common purpose of learning. Its vision is to graduate students with a sound academic and moral base, to become well informed members of society, aware of their civic duties and equipped with the necessary skills to realize their individual potential, and compete in a world increasingly shaped by technology and driven by innovation.

The Department of Special & Inclusive Education provides services to students with Special Educational Needs included in the general education classroom since the academic year of 2004-2005. We have currently mainstreamed more than 60 students with various disabilities in the general education classrooms starting from KG1 to Grade 12.

The Special Education Department, American Division strives through continuous improvement and collaboration with all involved parties, to exceed the expectations of students with special education needs and gradually reach true inclusion in which the necessary support and services is provided to allow them to learn to their utmost potential to utilize their diverse strengths and abilities to become independent and active members of the society.

We are focused on offering a safe, up-to-date, creative, and challenging place for our students to grow and reach their maximum potential. All teachers uphold high expectations for behavior and achievement. As a staff, we continuously strive to ensure that we are presenting the best possible education to our students, who work really hard and are kept very busy. We encourage parents to stay involved with their children’s education and to volunteer and serve on our School Improvement Committee. Parents of MLS High students are always aware of their children’s progress through our transparent reporting system of achievement and behavior. Whether it is through community service, academic rigor, educational trips or creative projects, our students are granted all possible opportunity to become informed, disciplined and diverse members of their community.

Education is one of the most important factors that determine a person’s thoughts and entire future. At MLS we aspire to provide the educational foundation and develop the students’ ability to be the best that they can be, in any academia, country and society. Our academic program is unpinned by the knowledge that all students learn in different ways. All teachers therefore utilize a range of multi-sensory and accelerated learning approaches in order to ensure that all students reach their optimum potential. This gives all students the equal opportunity to grow and learn at their own pace as we instill and develop their confidence, self-esteem and leadership skills.

Our American system at MLS adheres to the constantly developing educational methods abroad, and our teachers continuously undergo the necessary training offered by the international academia to keep in line with global academic advances. Similarly, however, we also recognize the need to nurture and develop the students own identity, creed and culture and thus we provide an equally strong curriculum based on Egyptian norms, values, and religious morals and knowledge.
