Mougins School follows the British curriculum and offers an advanced international programme to students of 3-18 years of age. The School’s way of life is characterised by caring, tolerance, security, praise and high expectations. We believe that pupils learn best when they are encouraged and valued, trusted and respected. On completion of their (I)GCSE, AS and A-Level examinations, students gain worldwide entry into further education in prestigious universities.

Situated in Mougins, within the high technology park of Sophia Antipolis since 1987 (established in 1964), the purpose built campus comprises six state-of-the-art buildings as well as sports areas, recreational areas and areas of quiet contemplation. The campus houses not only well equipped classrooms, but four science laboratories, two IT suites, two art studios, two music studios, a superb gymnasium, an examinations room, a dedicated performing arts and music building and a library containing 11,000 volumes as well as computers for research, overseen by a librarian. A dining room provides freshly cooked food on a daily basis. These facilities ensure that, together with a high academic standard, the students’ physical and cultural development is encouraged and nurtured.

Recognising that every student has potential, Mougins School offers a wide range of activities beyond academia. Sport, Music, Art and Theatre are an integral part of the curriculum. These subjects encourage self-confidence, teamwork, originality and creativity, all characteristics which contribute to a well-rounded adult. The melting pot of over forty nationalities also plays an important role in the education of our students, breaking down barriers, teaching respect and tolerance to a generation which will shape the world to come. The student body, led by the Student Council, regularly participates in fund-raising challenges, donating to numerous worthy causes. An active Parent Teacher Association assists staff and students in the organisation of activities and social events which enhance the lives of all concerned. Pastoral care is readily available for new families in assisting with the hurdles of relocation.

The Foundation Stage is for 3 to 4 year olds. Children in the first year (Early Years) attend school for mornings only. In the second year (Reception) children attend all day. These classes both have a teacher and teaching assistant. From Forms 1 to 11 the programme is divided into Key Stages and students follow the UK National Curriculum to a very large extent.

Beautiful campus in lovely part of the world. 5 changes of Head in last 18 months. Deputy Head and Head of Sixth Form were amazing and both left the school. The best teachers left in July 2020. New teachers started from UK in September and did not return in January 2021. Teaching not up to date with English National Curriculum in Primary. When help is asked for, the response is to pay teachers privately for tuition on top of high school fees. Apparently it has been bought by a schools group now, hope it can make a difference.
