Welcome to Mount Kelly School Hong Kong planning to open in September 2017, Mount Kelly’s Hong Kong campus will be located in city, Hung Hom Bay. MKSHK will be Hong Kong’s first Preparatory School, wholly modeled on the British Independent School Pre-preparatory and Preparatory structure. We prepare pupils for the British Common Entrance, the principle set of examinations accepted by top UK independent schools such as Eton, or Charterhouse School.

Our curriculum also provides a globally recognised education for enter into the world’s best international school and preeminent institutions.

MKSHK’s curriculum is taught by committed highly qualified and talented teachers with UK and globally recognised qualifications and experience. Unlike many international primary and elementary schools, pupils at MKSHK benefit from a high degree of subject specialization. From Year 5, all lessons are delivered by subject experts, ensuring that consistently high academic standards are maintained and that pupils graduate from MKSHK well prepared and confident for their transition into the secondary school of their choice.

Our curriculum is enhanced by an extended school day with scheduled times for games and an extensive range of co-curricular activities, encompassing sports, the arts and outdoor pursuits. Mount Kelly School Hong Kong’s (MKSHK) Preparatory School will be conveniently located in a wonderful and spacious location by the Victoria Harbour waterfront. MKSHK is Hong Kong’s first British Preparatory School, wholly modelled on the British Independent School Pre-preparatory and Preparatory structure. Our Preschool (Nursery and Reception classes) opened in September 2017, in a superb and convenient location in Tsim Sha Tsui. We also now offer playgroup classes in another new school site in Kowloon.

The Preparatory School structure focuses on extending small classes with our pastoral care, leadership and intellectual disciplines beyond the traditional primary education. Our education seeks to instil confidence, opportunity, academic and personal growth throughout Year 7 and 8. Our objective is to extend every pupil, to make the most of their abilities in small groups, whatever the activity.

Curriclum: The Mount Kelly School Hong Kong curriculum will be based on the National Curriculum for England and the best practice models of Mount Kelly UK.

Our teachers use careful planning, monitoring, assessment and recording to ensure that each pupil receives a broad, balanced, challenging and appropriate curriculum so that their individual needs, strengths and any difficulties are quickly identified. A wisely planned programme of visits and trips supplements the curriculum and learning is supported by regular and relevant homework.

We place a strong emphasis on subject-specialist teaching. From Year 5 all lessons are delivered by subject specialists ensuring that consistently high academic standards are maintained and that pupils leave MKSHK well prepared for their transition into the secondary school of their choice.
