Dr. Nada Elbarkouky stands at the forefront of the digital revolution reshaping the landscape of supply chain and logistics management. With over 17 years of expertise in digitization, digitalization, and digital transformation, she has left an indelible mark on both industry practice and academic discourse.

Currently serving as a Lecturer in the Department of Accounting, Finance, Logistics, and Economics (AFLE) at the University of Huddersfield, U.K., Dr. Elbarkouky passionately imparts her wealth of knowledge and experience to the next generation of industry leaders.

Beyond academia, Dr. Elbarkouky is a visionary co-founder of STEP2, a pioneering startup dedicated to harnessing the power of strategy, technology, education, people, and process to drive unparalleled advancements in supply chain operations. Her dynamic leadership and innovative approach have propelled STEP2 to the forefront of the digital transformation movement.

Throughout her illustrious career, Dr. Elbarkouky has seamlessly bridged the gap between academia and industry, blending hands-on experience with scholarly pursuits. Her tenure in various roles within the supply chain, logistics, and transport sectors has equipped her with invaluable insights into the intricacies of real-world challenges and solutions. She is an esteemed member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, U.K., and a distinguished board member of the Women in Logistics and Transport (WiLaT) council in Egypt.

Notably, Dr. Elbarkouky has been entrusted with advising Her Excellency the Minister of Transport in the Egyptian Ministry of Transport, where her strategic acumen and visionary leadership have played a pivotal role in shaping transformative initiatives. From consulting on high-profile projects such as the implementation of the Suez Canal Project to providing expert guidance on enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions for freight forwarders and logistics enterprises, Dr. Elbarkouky's impact reverberates across both the public and private sectors.

Dr. Elbarkouky has been appointed as the Advisor to H.E. the Minister of Transport, in the Egyptian Ministry of Transport, for various ministers. Throughout her years of experience, she has been consulted in various projects with private-sector companies as well as the government sector. This included – Consultation on the implementation of the Suez Canal Project. As part of her duties as an advisor to H.E. the Minister of Transport, she was also responsible for managing one of the biggest projects in the Middle East (LogisMed: Logistics Mediterranean) funded by the EIB, which involved implementing a Logistics observatory and training a wide range of organisations in the field of Logistics and Transport (White Collars & Blue Collars).

In addition to her professional endeavors, Dr. Elbarkouky is a prolific scholar, with publications to her credit in esteemed journals across the U.S., U.K., and Spain. As a dedicated educator, she has imparted her wisdom to students at various institutions, including the British University in Egypt, the Arab Academy of Science, and Technology (AAST), and the American University in Cairo (AUC), where she has played a pivotal role in shaping the curriculum of executive programs in transport and logistics certification.

Dr. Elbarkouky got her PhD from Ain Shams University, in Egypt, and is near completion of her second PhD at the University of Huddersfield. Dr. Elbarkouky embodies a lifelong commitment to advancing the frontiers of knowledge in business automation, supply chain management, and beyond.
