Newhaven College

Newhaven College is an independent, ecumenical and co-educational school which was founded in 1980, and now caters for over 900 students from Prep through to Year 12. Offering a diverse academic curriculum with a caring pastoral approach, our students enjoy excellent facilities and a diverse range of co-curricular opportunities. Part of our Middle School, but inhabiting an award-winning Environmental Centre, our Year 9 Program is a unique and academically rigorous experiential program that features integrated approaches to learning, environmental themes and opportunities for personal development, with a range of activities especially designed to cater for Year 9 students.

Our school community provides high quality inclusive education for all our students. We are proud of our caring, welcoming atmosphere which is reflected in our school motto – In Quietness and Confidence Shall Be Your Strength. The College was founded on Christian principles, which underpin all of our programs and how we care for students.

We are an open entry school with exceptional staff who value the uniqueness of each and every student. We place an unwavering focus on the academic and personal development of all learners at the College. Our innovative and unique sub schools provide a seamless curriculum across the year levels, and encompass the individual needs of every child. Our sense of community is one of our key strengths and defines our College.
