A very warm welcome to the Niddrie Mill Primary School.

At Niddrie Mill, we strive to ensure that all pupils feel valued, respected and are supported to reach their full potential through exciting and inspirational learning experiences. Working as a team is crucial and we welcome the support and input from all parents, careers and community members.

At the moment we have 20 children accessing ‘nurture’. We have four groups, three of these groups have three sessions a week and one group has two sessions. Within these groups the children are given tasks and activities which support all the developmental stages. We offer a safe and friendly place for the children. The staff in ‘Nurture’ respond to the children individually ‘as they are’, underpinned by a non-judgmental and accepting attitude.

Each individual within a school community should be enabled to develop as a successful learner, confident individual, responsible citizen and effective contributor. Scottish Government guidelines highlight that religious observance should have an important part to play in this development. It should also provide opportunities for the school community to reflect on, and develop, a deeper understanding of the dignity and worth of each individual and their contribution to the school and wider communities.

At Niddrie Mill Primary School, we incorporate the following activities into our yearly calendar to provide such opportunities. These are led by Reverend Liz Henderson from Richmond Church.
