Inspired by innovative global teaching pedagogies from the United States, United Kingdom, as well as, the Reggio Emilia educational practices in Northern Italy, Odyssey The Global Preschool offers an award-winning curriculum within a fully-equipped Reggio Emilia inspired campus, specially designed for exploratory and self-directed learning.

We promote an educational culture of collaboration, focusing on the child as an active and competent learner, whilst celebrating the active role of the environment as the third teacher. More than just a preschool, we serve as a research and education hub for developing innovative and internationally acclaimed teaching curricula to bring forth a unique Odyssey experience.

Odyssey The Global Preschool is proud to be part of the Busy Bees Singapore family of education companies. We began our journey way back in 1999, when the founding team witnessed the amazing exhibit, ‘The Hundred Languages of Children’ in San Francisco.

The schools of Reggio Emilia have earned international acclaim for its innovative pedagogy and powerful, practice-based theory in early childhood education. Inspired by its open-ended, child-centred learning philosophy, the team made the first exploratory trip to Reggio Emilia in 2001 to begin their research and experimentation of the various elements of its best practices.

In 2008, our relentless quest to conceptualise a unique, innovative early childhood pedagogy led to the birth of our first campus at Wilkinson Road.

Henceforth, we continued to expand our commitment to deliver quality preschool education to 4 other campuses in Fourth Avenue, Loyang, Still Road and Orchard in Singapore, as well as Eco Setia in Malaysia.

Odyssey is driven by a team of highly qualified and well-experienced early childhood educators that embodies Odyssey’s mission and core values. The highly effective teaching team in each of our classes comprises a Curriculum Specialist, a Chinese Language Teacher and an English-speaking teacher. All Curriculum Specialists are qualified, experienced educators with Bachelor Degrees in Preschool Education; and our teachers minimally hold a Diploma in Early Childhood education. At each of our campuses, you will be able to see how the teaching team applies innovation, warmth and creativity to help every child develop into a creative and confident learner.
