Mrs. Mariam Al-Kooheji also extended her gratitude to Mr. Abdulghaffar Al-Kooheji, the school’s founder, for the opening of the new auditorium, and she expressed her happiness in sharing this special moment with the parents. Canadian School Bahrain takes pride in the graduation of kindergarten students and their transition to Grade 1, acknowledging their achievements and their promising academic future. She commended the dedication and support of parents, emphasizing their importance in this significant celebration.

Commenting on this occasion Mrs. Al Kooheji said: “The Canadian School Bahrain aims to provide a distinguished and comprehensive educational environment for students that contributes to their academic and personal development. The establishment of the main auditorium at our school is a significant milestone in enhancing the learning environment for our beloved students. We look forward to utilizing the auditorium for upcoming activities, school events, and celebrations that will further enrich our students’ learning experience.”
The school’s auditorium is a multi-purpose hall with a seating capacity of 504 people, equipped with a main stage measuring 5.4 meters by 12 meters for hosting school events. It is equipped with a state-of-the-art sound system and a raised control room, providing a complete setup to serve as the school’s main cultural venue for major events, that provides a cultural theatre that showcases students’ exceptional performances and celebrates their creative developments across various fields. The auditorium enables students to develop their creativity with its sound control, lighting management, and costume coordination under one roof. We all look forward to the main auditorium becoming a distinguished cultural asset within the school’s implemented educational program at Canadian School Bahrain.

Highlighting the preschool level at Canadian School Bahrain, Mrs. Mariam Al-Kooheji explained, “Our school adopts an English and Arabic curriculum for the preschool level, based on the competencies of the British Columbia Curriculum in Canada. The curriculum aims to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of both English and Arabic languages, as well as Islamic studies. It covers the basics of Arabic, such as letters, words, and concepts, while connecting them to the stories of the prophets and their relevance to students’ lives and values. This approach allows students to engage with the stories and apply the lessons in their daily lives. Additionally, the curriculum includes verses and surahs from the Holy Quran, providing students with a deeper understanding of Islamic teachings.”

“In terms of English language acquisition in preschool, students learn letters, sounds, blending and segmenting sounds to form words, as well as important concepts and themes throughout the year. The curriculum also covers numeracy, including numbers, shapes, colors, and more complex concepts such as graph reading and creation, addition and subtraction, financial literacy, and time. Overall, the Canadian School Bahrain curriculum provides a comprehensive educational experience. Various concepts are provided for students to practice and enhance their English and Arabic language skills,” she added.

Canadian School Bahrain remains committed to providing a distinctive and inclusive educational environment that contributes to students’ academic and personal growth. The school looks forward to a bright future and continued success for its students at all educational stages.
“Today we are proud of the students’ progress and achievements in preschool, and we wish them a future filled with exciting challenges and opportunities,” Mrs. Mariam Al-Kooheji concluded.
