Funded by Grace Lake Partners in partnership with the Alumni Annual Fund.

Ladi Delano is a two-time Saïd Business School alumnus (MSc in Major Programme Management, 2018; Postgraduate Diploma in Global Business, 2016). In 2014, Ladi co-founded Grace Lake Partners - an investment and advisory firm that builds and operates businesses that address societal needs in Nigeria while creating economic value for the company and its shareholders.

The plight of many young Nigerians who cannot further their education is one that weighs heavy on Ladi’s heart. This conviction led to the creation of the GLP Cares Foundation. To date, the Foundation has provided twenty-two full scholarships to scholars to attend reputable private and public Universities in Nigeria. In 2016, a scholarship was awarded to a beneficiary to study for a master’s degree at the University of Oxford.

Upon graduation from Oxford Saïd, Ladi, through the GLP Cares Foundation, established the Oxford Grace Lake Scholarship in partnership with Saïd Business School’s Alumni Annual Fund.

About Company

Saïd Business School was founded in 1996, and since then has become one of the highest ranking business schools in the world with a reputation for entrepreneurship and innovative business education. The history of business at Oxford dates back to 1965 when the Oxford Centre for Management Studies, later Templeton College and now Green-Templeton College, was founded.

In 1988, a committee chaired by Sir Claus Moser recommended that the University create a new School of Management Studies and in 1990 the University passed a resolution establishing the School. The first Director was Dr Clark Brundin who had previously been Vice-Chancellor of Warwick University and he, together with a number of newly appointed faculty and staff members, including the first professor, Colin Mayer, helped to establish the embryonic School.

A joint undergraduate degree in economics and management was launched in 1994 and in 1996 Saïd Business School opened its doors to its first MBA students in the Radcliffe Infirmary while it was still a fully operating hospital in the centre of Oxford. Today we offer over 30 programmes and have two sites: Park End Street and Egrove Park.
