Parkview International Pre-School

Parkview International Pre-School (Hong Kong) is an authorised IB World School. The Parkview campus was the first of the three PIPS Kindergartens and it was established in 1989. PIPS is one of few kindergartens authorised to offer the Primary Years Programme (PYP) in Hong Kong. Our PYP journey began in 2006 and we have become one of the leading IB World Kindergartens.

We have always been an international school with children and teachers drawn from all over the world and we believe this diversity has further enhanced our programme. We respect the individuality of our students and staff, and we value their differences.

We cater for children from ages one to six and we offer English and Bilingual (English and Putonghua) classes. Our maximum class size is eighteen students with two teachers. Our staff are highly qualified and experienced in early years education. We have a spacious, well-equipped and resourced campus with ten classrooms, a music room, a library, a cookery room, an undercover physical education area, an organic garden with a pond, a large sand pit with a climbing frame, an outdoor science discovery and experimentation area, a climbing wall and an outdoor space for cycling and games.

At PIPS, we are committed to continuing on our journey to further develop our curriculum and provision to ensure an exemplary standard of excellence in the early years.

Parkview International Pre-School, at Parkview Hong Kong, was established in Hong Kong in 1988. The school has grown and changed over the years but our commitment to providing quality education in an environment where families are welcome has remained constant.

In 1994, PIPS expanded into Parkview Rhine Garden Preschool and International Nursery and in 2007 we opened the Kowloon PIPS branch.

In 2006, Hong Kong PIPS became an IB candidate school and officially became an authorized IB World School in June 2009. In 2014 PIPS Kowloon became an IB candidate school and aims to achieve fully fledged IB World status in 2017. PIPS is committed to continually improving and maintaining a quality program that fosters the development of whole child.

At PIPS, we believe in providing a caring, stimulating, motivating, safe and sustainable environment that inspires learners of all nationalities to achieve their full potential. This is achieved through an educational program that allows learners to observe, explore, collaborate, reason, problem-solve and evaluate through inquiry.

Over the past few years, I have been involved in implementing change management, designing an inquiry-based curriculum and emphasising the importance of the development of language and literacy in early childhood. My experience in the Reggio Emilia approach, IB, EYFS, and local curricula has empowered me with a varied and innovative approach as an academic leader and enabled me to develop a deeper understanding of education within the context of Hong Kong as a teacher, leader and a parent of two children.
