English School Foundation - Peak School

Peak School is a community oriented two form entry school with a total enrolment of 360 students. Peak School is part of the English Schools Foundation (ESF) and was founded in 1911. We pride ourselves on being a community school which respects and appreciates the contributions of everyone involved. We value the high levels of parent participation and involvement and see this as an integral part of your child’s education.

We think Peak School is a special place and as a fully accredited IB World School you can be assured Peak School is also a school with high standards.

Peak offers the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP) which is based on an inquiry approach to learning. We live by and up to all the IB PYP skills, attributes and attitudes to develop students who are confident critical thinkers, effective communicators, socially responsible global citizens and lifelong learners.

Our goal, like all ESF Schools, is to ensure the children can be the best that they can be.

At Peak School, we believe that education should be accessible, fun and challenging for all. Peak School believes that every child is unique, therefore the Learning Enhancement department strives to reinforce this idea by providing a range of differentiated learning experiences. We have a dedicated team which includes; teachers, educational assistants and ELSA’s (Emotional Literacy Support Assistants).

Supporting the holistic needs of the children is important to us, so in partnership with our Peak school families and other professionals we work together to enhance students’ learning and well being; by providing access to an ESF Child Psychologist, a Speech and Language therapist, an Occupational Therapist, and St John’s counselling.

At Peak school, we maintain detailed and up to date records of all students on our Individual Needs register, so that each student can experience a smooth transition through school and between schools.
