Job Summary
Lead a team of engineers and designers to execute safety engineering for a large sized FEED / EPC project and support and guide multiple project groups to ensure design HSE integrity.
Requirements
Bachelor degree in engineering with a minimum 17 years of experience in risk and safety engineering or 15 years’ experience in loss prevention and safety engineering. The experience shall be in front end and EPC environment in oil and gas industry.
Responsibilities
- Work with project, customer and vendor representatives to resolve technical issues.
- Familiarization of HSE software tools, their applications and output.
- Implement, review and monitor Design HSE component of Project HSSE Plan.
- Provide technical guidance and support to design safety team working on proposals and projects.
- Facilitate HAZID workshop on proposal and projects and assist the proposal and project team to identify potential risks.
- Lead peer review group for technical integrity check of project / proposals.
- Identify new technologies / practices in the industry and plan and implement in the group.
- Facilitate and develop a productive and cohesive team.
- Assist Discipline manager in development of Design safety guides and procedures
- Assist Discipline manager in employee performance evaluation and recommend employee training and development needs.
- Assist in recruitment of competent design HSE engineers and design personnel.
- Perform related duties as and when directed by Discipline Manager.
