Promethean Introduces Its Newest ActivPanel at GESS 2022

Promethean, a leading global education technology company, will introduce its all-new ActivPanel with ActivSync as part of an exciting schedule of events at GESS 2022, which takes place in Dubai, 15 – 17 November. Visitors to Promethean’s stand will learn about the innovative display through interactive demonstrations and get practical advice from a Promethean team of experts.

ActivPanel 9 delivers Promethean’s most robust, seamless, and secure user experience yet, designed to meet the needs of teachers, IT administrators, and school leaders. As the only interactive panel with Promethean’s patented ActivSync technology, ActivPanel 9 eliminates digital barriers between devices to enable increased connectivity, customisable settings, and enhanced mobility so that teachers can move around the classroom freely.

Promethean has partnered with STEM education specialist Skriware™, which helps educators use 3D printing, robotics, and programming to teach young people around the world. Skriware representatives will be at the Promethean stand to deliver three engaging presentations showcasing the compatibility and potential of Promethean and Skriware solutions. They include:

  • STEAM Education in the Middle East: Specifics, Challenges and Prospects, an exploration of STEAM education in the Middle East that compares traditional and modern teaching
  • Evolution of STEM into STEAM, an introduction to STEAM showing the evolution of STEM and an analysis of lessons across both models
  • The Influence of Arts in STEAM: Practical Guidelines, covering the influence of arts in STEAM and showing why the “A” makes a difference through clear examples

Promethean experts will conduct presentations covering a variety of trending topics in education. Inna Stevens, senior education consultant, will discuss how teachers can find a balance between student interaction and screen interaction, as well as offer information about teacher-generated digital resources.

Education futurist Dr. John Collick will discuss the challenges of understanding classroom research and how the last 100 years of teaching can enlighten us about the role of education technology in schools. Away from the Promethean stand, Dr. Collick will also deliver two keynote GESS Talks:

  • Cyberstudents: Education Technology and Humanity for a New World (Future Transformation Zone conference room, Wednesday, 16 November, 4:00-4:20 p.m.)
  • Neuroscience, Games and Storytelling workshop (Skills Development training room, Wednesday, 16 November, 1:45-2:45 p.m.)

“We’re extremely pleased to be returning to GESS this year and especially excited to be launching our all-new ActivPanel,” said Howard Shaw, Promethean’s regional vice president of sales for Middle East and Central Asia. “At Promethean, we are always striving for innovations that improve experiences for teachers, and this represents a real opportunity to help teachers transform learning. There will be something for everyone at the Promethean stand, from interactive demonstrations to discussions that focus on key areas of best practice. We’re looking forward to it and are ready to be back in person at GESS.”
