We are pleased to have a family-focused approach to teaching and learning, where parents are welcomed and encouraged to be involved at every stage of their children’s academic and spiritual development. It is our aim to ensure we teach and support our students to have an attitude of excellence in their academics and character in line with Biblical principles so that they are equipped to practically apply their learning at home, church, school and in preparation for further education and the workplace.
PromisedLand Academy was founded in 2005 for the purpose of addressing the rapid decline of Biblical values in society. Historically, it has been proven that the philosophy of the classroom in one generation will become the philosophy of government in the next generation.
Hence, God's 'philosophy' dictates that good success can only really be attained when scholarship or education is coupled and founded on the Biblical faith. We see the application of this in Old Testament saints living in a 'worldly' system such as Joseph, Daniel and Esther. These are a few of many whose faith obtained a good report, influenced or made a difference in their society, and pleased God (Hebrews 11).
The LORD is seeking godly seed (Malachi 2:15). Is the State going to lead and disciple your children for Christ? The long-forgotten truth, however, is that education is the responsibility of parents and not the State (Deuteronomy 6:1-12).
Ephesians 6:4 exhorts fathers to “bring them [children] up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.” Many Christian parents, eager to do just this, educate their children at home. In the complex society in which we live today, however, it is often not practical or possible. PromisedLand Academy, therefore, gives parents the option of working hand-in-glove with the school to ensure true Biblical principles and high-quality academics are taught.
PromisedLand Academy seeks to glorify God by preparing students for a useful and productive Christ-like life by providing a Bible-based education with staff that are committed Christians in full agreement with the school’s vision. Vision is that we may present every person as a mature disciple of Christ.
