Pu-Men Senior High School

The original name of our school was "Private Jemg-Chih Senior High School", located at GangShan township, Kaohsiung County. In 1977, the school name was changed to "Fo Guang Shan Private Pu-Men Senior High School", had movedinto Fo Guang Shan Temple at DaShu township ,Kaohsiung County. The school then converted officially to " Kaohsiung County Private-Operated. Pu-Men Senior High School" on August , 1977. Their are only 35 students at initial stage in school. After 30 yaers, there are more than 1000 . According to developing , the school had established in the new region at Dakeng Rd. near the FO GUANG SHAN in 2007. Diligence Righteousness Wisdom Benevolence. Pu-Men, the Universal Door, is open to save all beings and to disseminate the spirit of the Quant Ying, the Goddess of Mercy. Pu-Men believe in the importance of a Confucian education. Pu-Men is founded on Buddhism’s spirit of saving the world with an ideal education, great mercy, equality for all and unselfishness. Pu-Men strives to cultivate talents and virtues in youths by emphasizing intellectualism, morality, physical well being and an appreciation of the aesthetics, to benefit all societies and all nations.

From diligent training, we cultivate students to obtain correct attitude toward their own livings. From in-class learning, we cultivate students to pass university and college entrance examinations with higher standard. We build up students’ humanism cultivated manners through the balanced performance among moral , intellectual , physical, art, social skills. PuMen's students in the vocational department are encouraged to acquire the certificates to facilitate and enhance professional abilities. Our foreign teachers can implement and improve learners' speaking ability.
