QMUC aims to produce relevant research and provide new knowledge of ECEC to the society in general, as well as to our students and collaborating institutions at home and abroad. Our main research interests are; leadership in early childhood education and care, special needs in early childhood education, child culture and arts education, the impact of physical and psychosocial environment for learning and play in ECEC, childhood and cultural diversity.

The international involvement at QMUC has grown steadily the past few years. The staff has gained valuable experiences and an international perspective from participating at international conferences, in mobility and research with international colleagues.

These activities have given a basis for further internationalization and co-operation within pre-school teacher training as well as in research relating to Early Childhood Education.

Every academic year, several QMUC undergraduate students go abroad for a study period of 3 months within the framework of ERASMUS in Europe and within bilateral agreements with partner institutions in other parts of the world.

Graduate students in Special Needs Education can do 5 weeks of practical training in partner institutions in the CBN for South or East Africa.

Trondheim is the third largest city in Norway, and well known for it`s student life. Together with your fellow students at QMUC there are many things you can do to make your stay in Trondheim memorable.

QMUC students have a photography group, a football team, a hiking group and a choir. If you don`t find a group that covers your interests you can create your own group.

Really terrible school. Teachers are lazy and unreachable. There is too much work to do for a first year student and its really expensive. Think twice before choosing.
