Why study in the Netherlands?

  • The Netherlands (or Holland as it is often referred to) is a small European country with vast horizons. Though the first things that spring to mind may be cheese, tulips, and windmills, the country has so much more to offer.
  • The Dutch are known for their innovation and creativity, and their education system is recognised for its international character and problem-based learning style. The Netherlands is considered the most connected country in the world, and the Dutch continually strive to make connections, whether culturally or in business opportunities, with many multinationals based in The Netherlands.
  • Compared to other English-speaking countries like the US and the UK, tuition fees in The Netherlands are relatively low. And while Dutch is the national language, English is widely spoken by an estimated 90% of the population, so you don’t have to worry about learning Dutch – for now!

Studied here and loved it. It's well organized and the stuff and the professors helps you out if you need it. You've got small study groups and personal, friendly and non- hierarchical contact with the professors.

Studied 7 of my best years at this great university! Facilities were excellent, though I was a bit lucky since they built a new hall with excellent equipment while I was in my early years. Subjects are taught with enough depth and never handed out for free, they require effort and understanding of the matter. It's better to do a resit for a subject than not to be happy the moment you finally pass it. Recommended to everybody!

The best place to be. I'm studying Research Master's in Behavioural Science - Social Cognition and Psychopathology here. The state of the art facilities are eye catching and the quality of education is remarkable. This programme is rated a Quality Label programme in the whole country. The greenest campus, having the most beautiful architecture. You'll have the time of your life here!

I received my Doctorate from the Faculty of Management at Radboud University of Nijmegen (Catholic University of Nijmegen then it was called) in 2003. My memories are still fresh though 12 long years have passed. Prof. Elke de Yong, and Dr. Albert de Vaal were really helpful. I really miss the life over there.

My good old university. Really enjoyed studying here. Much more practical and "hands on" than many German universities and I'm happy that I chose this place rather than an Uni at home. Everyone I ever met, be it other students, staff or lecturers, they were all approachable and friendly. The research being conducted is of great quality and relevant. I haven't only learned a lot of "academic stuff", I have acquired skills of life at the Radboud Universiteit and in the beautiful city of Nijmegen.
