Radnor Primary School is a thriving school based in the Canton area of Cardiff. We have a wonderfully diverse mix of children which reflects the local community. We have strived to make our school a happy, positive place to learn, a place where children feel safe and confident to try their best.
Our building is a beautiful Victorian structure that many visitors describe as a tardis. It is a building that has been well loved and well maintained over its long life and it has bright spacious classrooms with a range of up to date resources that would have boggled the minds of its early inhabitants!
The staff are committed to doing their very best for our pupils and work hard to deliver an interesting and stimulating curriculum that is tailored meet the needs of all children. They are not afraid to try new approaches and often use the local community and resources whenever possible to provide first hand experiences to bring learning to life and enhance pupils’ learning experiences. We welcome parents to take a part in the learning process and to support the work that is carried out in school.
Staff give their time freely and we offer a wide range of after school clubs including sports, music, cookery, country dancing, art, sewing, newspaper, reading and maths. Many children attend these clubs and further develop many skills and interests.
Our children are happy, funny and hardworking and we are confident that when we take them out of school they will behave well and act as positive ambassadors for their generation and our school. The children play an active part in the development of our school and the School Council, Eco Club, Team Health and Criw Cymraeg work hard to change school life for the better.
