Raffles Montessori

Established in 2003, Raffles Montessori (Aljunied) is an MOE registered kindergarten. We are conveniently located just 5 minutes walking distance from Aljunied MRT station.

Led by graduates of Harvard University and Boston College, we run a full Montessori programme embodying individualized instruction, mixed-age grouping, qualified directress, an international curriculum, a prepared classroom environment and a complete set of specialized Montessori educational materials approved by the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI).

In addition to our core programmes, we offer enrichment programmes in the afternoon, with a focus on the arts, languages, culture and the sciences.

Our mission is to deliver a well-rounded curriculum in a supportive environment that enables children to fully develop their unique and beautiful set of gifts and skills. We facilitate each child’s development at their own pace, and lead them to discover their special contribution to the community.

Through a distinctive Montessori approach, we help our children develop strategies for acquisition of knowledge, skills and values to participate meaningfully in our culturally diverse society.

The team comprises a Montessori-trained directress who has had over 10 years working in the industry. Our Management and teachers are scholars who are deeply passionate about early childhood education and have Master’s Degrees in Law and Education specializing in Human Development and Psychology, and Education Leadership.

Our preschool offers 2 programmes - our Toddler Community Club programme for children age 18 months - 3 years old, and our Children's House programme for children age 3 - 6 years old. Children start out in our Toddler Community Club for the morning session and have the option to extend the day when they move on to the Children's House programme.
