REACH Child Development & Family Support Centre

REACH Centre is a unique hub of educational services, providing early intervention and special education for children aged 6 months to 12 years, and delivering expert training to empower parents, carers and childhood professionals.

REACH centre is fully licensed under KHDA and CDA and is run by a team of highly experienced and qualified professionals who are committed to transforming children’s life chances, supporting each individual family and providing transformative continuous professional development opportunities for early years educators and teachers.

Services Provided for Children
REACH specialises in supporting young children with additional needs, developmental and speech delays, learning difficulties and behavioural/social/emotional challenges. Our specifically designed programmes help each child realise their full potential. All our services are provided in English and in Arabic.

Act early!
Early intervention is key: Acting early can change a child’s developmental path and improve outcomes for children, families and communities. Early assessment and intervention ensure each child receives the appropriate therapy, giving him or her the best chance for a good outcome in the future.

Full daycare
REACH offers full daycare for children aged 6 months to 7 years. The full day programme incorporates specialised sessions to meet the unique needs of each individual child.

In REACH facilities, children have access to natural lit small group teaching spaces, therapy rooms for individual sessions, soft play areas and multi-sensory rooms, a water park with a splash pool and swimming pool, an outdoor nature space with multi-sensory resources, a riding track, and multiple climbing, sliding and swinging equipment.

Tailor-made programme
REACH also provides tailor-made services to meet the requirements of each child aged 5 to 12 years.

Services for Parents & Carers
REACH provides expert support and high-quality training courses, workshops, and 1:1 support to enable parents, and caregivers to acquire new skills and strategies to address parenting challenges, in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Our certified courses for carers include:

Positive Parenting Programme
Positive Parenting Triple P is an internationally-recognised programme that gives parents the skills they need to build strong family relationships, manage misbehaviour and prevent problems happening in the first place.

At REACH we offer different Triple P courses, to meet each family’s particular requirements

• Positive Parenting Programme for children aged 2 to 12.
• Positive Parenting Programme for children aged 12 to 16.
• Positive Parenting Programme for children who have additional needs.

Supporting communication and language development at home
Language and communication are the foundations for the development of relationships with family and peers. REACH provides an intensive training programme for parents, designed to involve families in achieving the best possible outcomes for young children with social communication challenges.

Parent Meetups and Coffee Mornings
REACH regularly invites parents for informal workshops around a theme addressing a specific topic of interest for parents.

Parent & Child Mornings
Our Parent-Child Mornings offer a meeting place for parents and young children together.

Based on the concept of the “Green House’ created in France by the world-renowned child psychoanalyst, Dr Dolto, our Parent & Child Mornings provide the ideal platform for the early socialization of young children. In our stimulating and child-friendly environment, young children can begin to open up to the world, within the security of the presence of their key person - mother, father, grandparent or nanny.

Each session is facilitated by one of our REACH practitioners, who can also address questions carers may have regarding their child.

These Parent & Child Mornings provide the ideal transition for children who will soon be attending an early years centre or school setting

Training courses for nannies
In certain circumstances, nannies play an important role in the household and spend a significant amount of time with the children. They can have a positive role to play not only to ensure the health and safety of children, but also to support them in their overall development. For that, nannies need to receive adequate training, that REACH can provide.

Training centre for childhood professionals
Early childhood practitioners and teachers can play a major role in helping children develop essential skills, and become resilient. We live in a rapidly changing world with new research and theories introduced regularly. High quality training and Continuous Professional Development can help practitioners add important competencies relevant to their practice.

We provide accredited courses such as CACHE courses as a joint venture, with work placement available. REACH is also accredited to deliver HANEN and TRIPLE P courses.
