Royal International School (RIS) was established in 1991 with the sole intention of providing an International level education in English medium for the children in the North Western Province of
Sri Lanka.

With humble beginnings of just a handful of students, today the school has grown to a student population of 2700! We offer and encourage English Medium education as a fluent command in the English language is essential. For achieving an effective education as well as for building rewarding careers.

Equal priority is given to facilitate extracurricular activities including art, drama, music, dancing and sports through an eminent and highly qualified team at a highly equipped learning environment, ensuring our students are physically, socially, mentally and emotionally strong and stable to meet the challenges of tomorrow.

Our School is compromised of the Day Care, Pre Primary, Primary and Secondary Schools. All sections are managed by a dedicated, experienced and qualified team of staff.

We offer subjects that prepare students to face the GCE National O/L and A/L examinations as well as the Edexcel examinations if they choose to.

Our partnerships with various organizations are enabling us to provide a sound foundation for our students on the core pillars of education, Science, Technology, English and Mathematics.
