Established in September 1983, Rueishiang was pre-viously named “Kaohsiung Municipal Rueisiang Junior High School” It was reorganized in 1995 and was the first six-year high school in Kaohsiung. Now, it is a 30-year-old, co-educational school, including junior and senior high students. RSSH consists of Grade 7th–9th ( 13-15 years old) and Grade 10th-12th (16-18 years old). The total number of students is over 3000, including 63 junior high school classes and 27 senior high school classes. Through the cooperation and diligence of teac-hers and students, RSSH has achieved excellent perfor-mances in various fields of learning.
A total area of RSSH is 4.9 hectares. Various tropical and subtropical plants flourish across the campus. Ruei-siang High School is a campus filled with birdsong and floral fragrance and has an abundant and diverse lear-ning environment.
The buildings include eight main buildings and one multiple stadium. Professional training classrooms, e-conference rooms, well-equipped science labs and computer labs, professional sports courts, and one international standard swimming pool are available in RSSH. Also, the classrooms in senior high school are equipped with com- puters and Internet facility. There are air-conditioners, projectors, digital microphone amplifers in every classroom. E-learning is everywhere in RSSH.
