Sacré Cœur, an independent Catholic school where young women are inspired and challenged to shape the world. Our holistic approach to educating young women unites academic endeavour with a deep sense of care for each child, enveloped within a closely connected community. This is the truest expression of the Sacré Cœur way.
Laughter, inclusivity, deep friendships and diverse opportunities are hallmarks of a Sacré Cœur education. Our young women are encouraged to raise their voices and to look outwardly, applying their wisdom and skill. Sacré Cœur is a school of 720 students from Prep to Year 12; we are small enough that every student is known, but large enough that they enjoy a rich diversity of opportunities.
We are proudly a school of the Sacred Heart, where education is steeped in a history that originates in France. Our Founder, St Madeleine Sophie Barat, founded the Society of Religious of the Sacred Heart of Jesus (RSCJ) in 1800.
Sophie was committed to educating young women with a focus on both academic endeavour and the formation of character. She believed in the transforming power of women and their role in society. Over two hundred years later, we hold the same commitment. Our girls seek to make a profound contribution to their local communities and to the world. We are dedicated to equipping them with the skills to take on this challenge, empowering them to be confident, resilient and to live their life with a future focus.
We are privileged to belong to an international Sacred Heart family of over 150 schools across 41 countries. Our extended international family help to grow our sense of community as we learn together through immersions, and engage in programs that support social justice initiatives locally and across the globe.
At Sacré Cœur we offer accessible, agile and innovative learning environments in which our students and staff can flourish in and out of the classroom. Our single-campus schooling experience enables us to map out learning from Prep to Year 12, with innovative learning environments and extensive co-curricular facilities, including a gym, lecture theatre, tennis courts, science and state-of-the-art robotics labs and creative arts facilities.
Our Learning Enhancement Centre is designed to stimulate and excite learners, thinkers, strivers and dreamers. With the aim to facilitate greater learning opportunities and ensure the curriculum is accessible by all, it caters for both highly competent students as well as students with specific learning support needs.
