The Scholarship for High Achievement and Performance Engagement (SHAPE) has been developed to reward and assist students who have demonstrated high achievement and performance engagement and want to pursue study at Curtin University. Scholarships for High Achievement and Performance Engagement (SHAPE) recipients are committed to and show a strong desire to learn, demonstrate high-level capability in one or more discipline areas and have high aspirations for themselves.
To apply for the scholarship, students must have completed one or more endorsed Curtin Achievement Centred Engagement for Students (ACES) activities (e.g. AHEAD, Innovative Schools Consortium Programs, UniReady in Schools*). Students must submit an online personal statement and obtain an online recommendation from a school staff member or ACES endorsed program leader.
UniReady in Schools is currently available with a selected group of high schools around WA (pilot phase). The students in this program must successfully complete the UniReady in Schools program prior to the SHAPE application closing date.

The Scholarship for High Achievement and Performance Engagement (SHAPE) will provide the following support as a one off payment:
Cash payment of $3,000. The amount can be used at the recipient’s discretion to contribute towards educational related expenses
Payment will be made post census date (approximately mid-April).

Successful candidate(s) will be sent a notification and scholarship offer pack via the email listed through TISC in mid-January 2021.
Step 6: Acceptance
Successful applicants must return acceptance documents by 31 January 2021.

Enrolment Requirements
Recipients must meet ALL of the following:
Remain enrolled in initial course of study
Scholarship continuity is subject to meeting satisfactory academic progress as outlined above. Progress will be assessed at the end of each study period. Unless there are exceptional circumstances, a recipient with unsatisfactory progress or who breaches the scholarship conditions shall be ineligible to retain the scholarship. Exceptional circumstances must be forwarded to and shall be at the discretion of the Scholarships Office.
Changes to Enrolment
Withdrawal or Terminated from units or course: A recipient who withdraws from their units or course of study, or has been terminated from studies will become ineligible for continuation of the scholarship, will not receive any further payments and will be required to repay to Curtin University the stipend awarded for that study period if applicable.
Cancellation of Scholarship: Notwithstanding any provision above, Curtin reserves the rights, at its sole discretion, to cancel the award of, or continuity of, the scholarship where the funder ceases to fund the scholarship.
