School holidays in Kuala Lumpur have two categories – Kumpulan A and Kumpulan B. Kuala Lumpur is included in the Kumpulan B states in Malaysia. This group also includes Labuan, Melaka, Negeri Sembilan, Pahang, Perlis, Penang, Perak, Putrajaya, Sabah, Sarawak, and Selangor cities. Kumpulan B states designate Saturday and Sunday as their weekend.
