New Year’s Day
New Year’s Day is celebrated every January 1st, to mark the start of the Gregorian calendar.

National Day
Kuwait National Day is always celebrated on 25 February. This holiday marks the day when
Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah ascended to the throne in 1950.

Liberation Day
Kuwait also celebrates is Liberation Day every 26th of February, aside from the national day. This official public holiday is celebrated in honor of the country’s independence from Iraq after the first Gulf War.
