National Day

Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah ascended to the throne in 1950.
Liberation Day
Kuwait also celebrates is Liberation Day every 26th of February, aside from the national day. This official public holiday is celebrated in honor of the country’s independence from Iraq after the first Gulf War.
Israa and Me’raj
Israa and Meraj is an Islamic holiday in Kuwait.
Eid Al Fitr (End of Ramadan)
Eid Al Fitr or the end of the fasting month (Ramadan) is a public holiday in Kuwait and lasts for more than 3 days.
Eid Al-Adha Holiday
Known as the Greater Eid, the Eid Al Adha is a week-long holiday in Kuwait, celebrating the willingness of Ibrahim to sacrifice his son.
Arafat Day
The Day of Arafah is an Islamic holiday that falls on the 9th day of Dhu al-Hijjah of the lunar Islamic Calendar.
Hijri New Year/ Islamic New Year
Hijri is the first day of the Islamic New Year.
Birthday of Prophet Muhammad
The birth of Prophet Muhammad is also a public holiday in Kuwait.
