Oman National Day
The National Day of Oman is celebrated every 18th of November. It commemorates Omani people celebrating independence from Portugal. The oldest independent Arab state in the world is Oman.
Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha
These Islamic holidays are celebrated across the country and all other Muslim countries. Eid Al Fitr is the end of Ramadan while Eid Al Adha is also called the Feast of Sacrifice. For the public sector, holidays can last up to a week.
Muscat Festival
Muscat is the capital of Oman which holds an annual Muscat Festival during the first two months of the year. It celebrates Oman’s rich culture and tradition.

This festival highlights autumn and another showcase of the rich culture of Oman.

An annual tradition in Oman, camel racing is a traditional Omani sport and is highly-anticipated by the locals.
