Poland School Holidays (2026)

School holidays in Poland begin on the last Friday of June and end in the first week of September. The Ministry of National Education is responsible for setting the school term dates. However, the management board of some schools or institutions can schedule extra days off within the academic year, depending on the school. For instance, primary schools, vocational schools, post-secondary schools, vocational education institutions and secondary education centers get six additional days; high schools get 6-8 additional days while secondary schools, colleges, and universities get ten additional days.

At a glance, each school year in Poland has three major holiday breaks which include winter, summer, and spring. All the school holiday dates are similar apart from the winter holidays which differ by region. For more up-to-date information, please visit individual websites of schools in Poland.
