School holidays in Russia differ between state schools and private schools. All state schools follow the same annual term dates set by the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, while the privately-run schools set their own term dates.
Although all the schools follow a similar pattern for school holidays in Russia –autumn, winter, spring, summer, private schools have longer winter breaks, additional holidays and for some, shorter autumn and spring breaks compared to state schools. For more updated information, please refer to individual websites for schools in Russia.
